The Carrington Restaurant in Shepparton has re-opened with a contemporary and elegant look, designed by Bate Architecture.

The restaurant, located in The Carrington motel is a special occasion destination, known locally for its refined dining and traditional elegance. Bate Architecture invigorated the space, diversifying its appeal to inhouse guests, corporate travellers as well as the local market.

The plan allowed for a new casual dining area to sit alongside the more formal a la carte restaurant, with the flexibility to adapt to the needs of the restaurant from breakfast through to dinner.

The new casual dining area is furnished with contemporary fittings, simple materials and natural lighting, while the restaurant proper features locally crafted furniture, decorative light fittings and ornate ironwork. The back bar was completely overhauled with fresh storage for glassware and a wine display.

Since the renovation, the Carrington Restaurant has been busier than ever. 

Bate Architecture has been engaged to do further develop the motel in 2008.
